AMA Toyota Motocross Championship Round 9: Millville -ozzy go- hondaredriders.com

In yet another amazing weekend in this anything-goes
2007 AMA MX season, Honda CRF450R factory rider
Andrew Short moved into a tie for the season’s points
lead, showing a remarkable combination of speed,
maturity and conditioning in his first season in the
premier AMA MX class.

Short’s characteristically consistent performance, with
a third place in the first moto and a fifth place in the
second, put him into a 311-point tie with veteran
rider Tim Ferry with just three rounds left in the
season.

Ricky Carmichael ended his AMA Motocross career in
typical style, winning both motos outright to capture
his 150th AMA Outdoor MX win. James Stewart opted
not to race Mill Valley, due to a persistent knee injury
suffered at Washougal, Washington two weeks ago.

Honda CRF450R rider Davi Millsaps was also sidelined
for the event, with possible inner ear problems
affecting his balance.

AMA MX Lites

Honda CRF250R rider Josh Grant kept up his string
of solid races to come away still holding third place
in the AMA MX Lites season’s points race.

Ben Townley switched moto wins with his teammate,
Ryan Villopoto, in their season-long battle for the
championship. Townley is usually faster in the
second Moto, but this time he won the first, only
to yield to Villopoto in the second.
