AMA Motocross Series Round 10: Delmont, PA
The day started out wet and wild at Steel City, but when the sun
finally came out, it shone on some truly excellent knock-down,
drag-out racing. Thanks to his consistent riding throughout the
season, Honda’s Andrew Short came to Steel City tied in the MX
Championship points standings with Tim Ferry. But with the
crowd’s attention turned to the series leaders, Honda CRF450R
rider—and Unadilla winner—Kevin Windham decided to make
some noise of his own. He raced hard and long with Grant
Langston and Mike Alessi at the head of the pack, finally taking a
well-earned podium when the dust settled. Andrew Short finished
just one spot behind Windham in fourth, coming away just two
points behind overall winner Langston for the season’s title.
MX Lites Class
The MX Lites race saw more than its share of great action as well,
with Honda CRF250R rider Tommy Hahn leading the first moto for
a while, and his Honda teammate Josh Grant maintaining his
steady performance to take sixth overall, leaving him still in third
place in the season’s standings. click on ozzy go to the full
