Brett Metcalfe AMA Interview -ozzy go- amamotocross.com

One of the highlights of my motocross experiences has been
meeting Australian Brett Metcalfe back in 2003, when the then
teenager was brought over by the Red Bull KTM team to race
the 125 class. All alone, except for then teammate Joaquim
Rodrigues, Metcalfe put homesickness aside, and quickly
showed talent and determination. Two years later Metcalfe
moved to Yamaha of Troy to ride the all new 2005 YZ125 two
stroke; before eventually moving to the YZ250F, which he
took to win the US Open Lites class.

Still aboard the YOT YZ250F in 2006, he really began to hit his
stride finishing fifth overall in the AMA Toyota Presented by
FMF Motocross Lites Championships. When it was announced
that “Metty” signed with the Monster Energy Pro Circuit team,
I (along with many others) knew he would be a title contender.
Unfortunately, injuries have sidelined the 23 year old this
season; but now healthy, he’s back where he belongs – on the
podium. I had a chance to snag a couple minutes from Brett
at Millville where he finished third overall. click on ozzy go to
