Andrew Short AMA Interview -ozzy go- amamotocross.com

If you are a long time Motocross fan it’s likely that you’ve heard
the phrase “the nicest guy in motocross” in the past. In the past,
that phrase has referred to Steve Lamson (now MDK Team
Manager) and Casey Lytle (now Red Bull KTM Team Manager).
Now we can definitely add the name Andrew Short to that list!

I still recall meeting Andrew when he first turned pro and was
picked up by the Motoworld Racing.com Suzuki team. Coming out
of Colorado, Short had that genuine, sincere, upbeat personality
that struck me right away. Short’s continual rise through the
ranks brought him to the mighty Factory Honda Team where he
earned numerous podium and wins – yet just missed taking a
Lites title several times.

For 2007 Honda moved the 24-year old to the Motocross class
where after coming back from a injury induced long layoff he has
steadily improved to a constant podium threat - if not moto
winner. I had a chance to catch up with this generation’s “nicest
guy in motocross” to see how his first season racing the big bikes
is going. Andrew is currently second in the points chase for in the
2007 Toyota Motocross Championship. click on ozzy go to the
