Foust and Beavis win Rally Car racing final

Tanner Foust and Chrissie Beavis outraced Ken Block and
Alessandro Gelsomino to win the Rally Car racing final this
afternoon at Home Depot Center.

Block and Gelsomino beat Foust and Beavis off the line and led
through the first lap, but Foust and Beavis made up ground on the
second lap and dropped into the stadium a second ahead. Coming
from opposite directions in their Subarus, both cars made the
final turn for home and banged doors coming out of the turn, but
Foust and Beavis won by three-quarters car length.

Block's teammates, Travis Pastrana and Christian Edstrom, were
disqualified in their semifinal against Foust when both also raced
to the finish line, but Pastrana crossed over into Foust's lane and
they collided. Pastrana crossed the finish line a half length ahead
of Foust, but it was announced shortly afterward that he had been
disqualified.

Pastrana then raced Colin McRae and Carolyn Bosley in a third-place
race and Pastran won, preventing him from going without an X Games
medal for the first time in his career.
