With James Stewart on the
ground, the door was open for a
new winner in moto two of the MX
class, and it was Grant Langston
who rose to the challenge and
picked up his first-ever victory in
the class. In fact, had it not been
for a slight mistake by Kevin
Windham (more on that later in
Kickstart...), GL would have taken
the overall, as well. We spoke with
Grant earlier in the day, and he
told us that things are looking up in
his camp since switching to the
2008 YZF model, which he rode last
weekend in Colorado, as well. "I
feel so much better on the new
bike, it really fits my whole riding
style much better," Langston said.
"I was struggling a bit with the
front end of the '07 in corners, but
the frame has been changed in '08,
and the bike feels great now. Even
without a ton of testing time on
the new one, it is a big
improvement for me. The new bike
is enjoyable to ride and fits my
riding style a whole lot better."
