Monster Energy’s Grant Langston Just A Click Off The Anaheim One Podium -ozzy go-

CORONA, Calif., (Jan. 7, 2008) – Monster Energy’s Grant
Langston (Yamaha), the reigning U.S. Open of Supercross
and Bercy Supercross champion, picked up right were he
left off this past fall in challenging for the overall podium at
the opening round of 2008 Monster Energy AMA Supercross,
an FIM World Championship, at Anaheim’s (Calif.) Angels
Stadium.

“Yeah, I felt pretty good. Should have been on the podium,
but given the conditions I’ll take what I got,” said Langston.
“Certainly could have been worse.”

After scoring a rather ho-hum 5th place finish in his heat
race Langston exploded in the Supercross class main,
blazing a trail to 2nd place overall after the first lap, then
inheriting the lead when fellow Yamaha racer Chad Reed
went down.

Langston then the race for the next several laps, much to
the appreciation of his adopted hometown of Lake Elsinore,
Calif., - home of Langston Racing - and the fans from
