Nico Izzi
Team Makita Suzuki's Nico Izzi had
a weekend to forget at Freestone.
The stylish rider looked great
during practice and in the early
going of the first Motocross Lites
moto as he battled at the front of
the pack with Broc Hepler and
Austin Stroupe, but he retired from
the first moto before the halfway
point with an ailing machine. "I
think the stator went out or
something," said Izzi. "Suddenly,
the bike started popping and
hesitating and cutting out on me."
Izzi never found his form in race
two and could only muster a 17
place finish, hardly up to par with
the impressive results he's shown
in his first two Motocross Lites
Nationals.
