When you can see someone (in this case, Ricky Carmichael) take
their 100th National Motocross overall win, it's a good weekend.
Then add in that he did it despite a goggle malfunction in the first
moto, after a blast of roost from James Stewart knocked his
goggle lens out of place, and it gets even more interesting.

Speaking of James Stewart, he was looking much more
competitive this weekend, and even though he got ill between
motos which sapped his strength, he still led 28 of the 34 laps
on Sunday.

In the Lites class, Ryan Villopoto took his first overall win of the
season in dominating fashion, running away with both moto wins.
Ben Townley had a pair of lonely second-place rides, in each
moto, but the second moto featured one of the best three-way
battles we've seen in quite a while between Jason Lawrence, Josh
Grant and Ryan Dungey. J-Law ended up with third overall, his
first podium of the season. Ryan and Townley may be the prime
candidates in the title chase at the moment, but the trio fighting
over third, fourth, and fifth are guaranteed to provide plenty of
fireworks during the rest of the season.
