’08, finishing on the podium for the second week in a row. When
asked about the track, he said, “You know, I struggled with it all
day. It was not cut from the same cookie sheet. It was
something new for us, and really difficult. But finally by the end
of the night, things came together.”
“It was wild, it was hard to get a flow. It was difficult, and took
me all night to get into, really. Like in practice, I’d find myself
holding my breath, bouncing off of bales and everything else.”

year, and he responded by explaining, “This year, coming into
the season, I didn’t have a ride for a long time. To have things

successful and a great career. But it got to a point where I really
think I needed kind of the withdrawl…where it’s October and,
‘Man, I don’t have a ride. What the hell am I doing? Am I racing
