The final Anaheim round of 2008 was put to bed this past
Saturday night in front of 45,050 excited spectators. The weather
was favorable, as the rain held off until early Sunday morning.
There was a great vibe on the weekend and we were all excited
to hit the track.
Bob Kiniry had moved in 15th place in points after his 11th place
finish last weekend in the San Francisco mud. He was looking to
improve himself both in the main event and in the point standings
with a strong ride to send off Anaheim.
Lites Heat Race One: Bob started off strong but had some trouble
on the fifth lap and was forced on the LCQ.
LCQ: Bob wasted no time getting to the front in the LCQ, taking a
massive holeshot from way outside and leading the opening lap.
He relinquished the lead to Thomas Hahn, but finished out in
second position and moved on the all-important main event.
Main Event: Bob was again far outside on the start, and although
he didn’t replicate his LCQ holeshot, he did position himself well
just outside the top ten. full story on teamsolitaire.com
